For the third edition of the festival, this time the southern harbour area in Linz will be transformed into an open art space. The opening will take place on Tuesday, June 6, 2023 at 6 p.m. at the clubhouse of Kleingartenverein Linz-Ost – one of the festival’s venues alongside hello yellow Velodrom by Schachermayer, Hollabererhof with Schwemmland-Zentrale and Klimaoase Linz-Lustenau or Linzer Stadtalm.
The exhibition focuses on art in digital contexts presented in public space. On display will be works by numerous artists from Austria and abroad, including Studer / van den Berg (CH), Anne Fehres & Luke Conroy (NL / AU), S()fia Braga (IT), ViaOral (NL), TinTin Patrone (DE), Justin Tyler Tate (CA), Dennis de Bel & Anton Linus Jehle (NL / DE), Mitra Azar (IT), Clemens Stöttinger (AT), Swaeny Nina Kersaan (NL) or raumarbeiterinnen (DE / AT). Accompanying the festival is a multi-day program with lectures, artist talks, concerts and guided tours.
Responsible for the festival is the association “LINZ FMR – Art in digital contexts and public spaces”. It was founded by the two art and cultural initiatives qujOchÖ and servus.at, Atelierhaus Salzamt of the City of Linz, University of Art and Design Linz and Sturm und Drang Gallery. Their representatives have been involved in the conception, organization and curation of the festival since its first edition in March 2019.
